What is LingHacks VII?

LingHacks VII is the seventh iteration of the world's first computational linguistics hackathon for high schoolers. Our goal is to expose students of all backgrounds to the field of natural language processing and inspire students to pursue computer science in their careers. LingHacks VII is a weekend-long invention competition where you come together with a team and build a software project that integrates computational linguistics and may or may not solve a scientific or social problem.

Interested in getting involved? Please visit https://linghacks.tech/programs/linghacks-vii to fill out one of the registration forms linked at the top of the page (either for participants, campus ambassadors, or volunteers)! Note that only registering on Devpost does not officially register you for the hackathon - all registrations should go through the official forms on our website to ensure that we can contact you with all pertinent resources and announcements!

Requirements

A 2-3 minute video, viewable to everyone with the link, along with a description of your project must be submitted to Devpost by the submission deadline: June 14th @ noon Central Time/1pm Eastern Time. This should include your brainstorming, inspiration, design process, resources, and the final product, among other details.

A Github link to your source code is required for all projects. All projects must be created solely within the time period of LingHacks VII.

Cross-submission is not allowed with other hackathons and teams may be disqualified if they are found violating these requirements.
